So - as a precursor - I have plenty of Edmonton relatives ... and having met dozens of Edmonton fans besides them - I have seen you all suffer from the same delusions of grandeur. Kicking the Canucks being a hobby I get,,, when we had the Sedins here kicking the Oilers was fun too. But make no mistake - the Oilers are no closer to winning a cup again than are the sad sack Canucks. McJesus and Draisaitl will both be gone to free agency in a few years - because without great defence and goaltending you will not win. Oilers have neither.
